On Dec 18, 2023 the Jackson County Board of Supervisors approved a zoning “Special Exception” to allow a 514 Unit RV park in Jackson County’s biggest residential subdivision- Gulf Park Estates. After a 6 hour public hearing, their voices were not heard by the Board of Supervisors, even after presenting 1726 hand-signed petition signatures.

Ocean Springs Islands RV Resort LLC is proposing the development. It is owed by Adam Dial, Ed Trehern, and Brent Lewis.

The people of Gulf Park Estates have banded together and are currently appealing the legality of the zoning special exception to the Mississippi Supreme Court. It is expected to be heard in Fall 2025. They are being represented by the honorable Judge Micheal Fondren.
